When all the runners were safely gathered in, and all had made their way to the Pavilion on Heath Road, everybody gathered to wait for the presentations . . comparing blisters, grazes and blisters in the meantime . .

and once we'd congratulated the birthday boy, the presentation began . .

and then with the formalities over, as the party continued, we took off . . it had been a long day, we'd had great fun, but we had another event to cover the following day . .
