My sunny Sunday morning in Crystal Palace Park began with a stroll around, looking at some of the relics from when the Crystal Palace stood in the park . . the statue below is of Sir Joseph Paxton, the creator of the Crystal Palace . . at various intervals throughout the day a cable car made the journey to and from the top of the tv transmitting mast . . the feature that looks like a laptop in the photo to the left is in fact the stage in the Park, with the lily pond in front of it . . the caterers were doing a good trade by the time I got there . . and the team from Bromley Mytime were setting up . . at first it was so quiet that this Moorhen felt at home preening itself on the stage . . but it wasn't so long before more and more people began to arrive . . here's the view from the stage, looking up the hill . . taken after the last Workshop was over . . unfortunately my friends at Bromley Mytime included a typo on the poster below . . so it reads that photos are "£5 for 7 x print" . . I didn't read it until after I got back home . . and it should read "£5 for a 7 x 5 print" . . apologies for any misunderstanding this may have caused . . |
